I'm a little confused about some examiner comments. If a guy has SR during a screening exam, but gives a rational reason that MIGHT have accounted for them, are examiners just ending the testing there?

If a guy responds to a question, but explains it away (AKA a behavioral CM), why would you not re-test the issue? Accepting the reason is not very wise as it requires us to believe a person based on our own gut feelings - which are often wrong. If we are polygraph examiners, then we have a duty to test until we can't test any more.

Am I missing something?

No, I don't thing your missing anything. I don't know of any reason why you wouldn't re-test if you think the guy is telling the truth.

I was wondering if the guy wasn't going to be DQ'd and the examiner was just being nice. Let the examinee think he bought his story, then send him the rejection letter in the mail. I hope this is the case and the examiner isn't just passing him on a "feeling".

After Taylor and I discussed in the public forum WannaBeLE's other post on Georgie's cite, his post there was promptly removed. I guess he didn't think we read that site too!

I agree, if I do a test and the individual has a SR and admits deception, I may say that sounds reasonable and the test is done. Of course that just confirmed the SR so I will not run another exam unless the explanation deserves a specific exam. That is why I continued to tell WannaBeLE to contact the examiner. We can't second guess what happened and I for one would hope the examiner is ethical and not buying into 'convincing' individuals.

POLY761 - Georgies site is the anti polygraph site. I read his site daily. Funny thing is JADEA on the anti-site sounds like a female that contacted me recently. Little does she know......
